Optima Kidney Care is a nephrology clinic founded by Dr. Marilia Campos to provide high-quality nephrology services with timely access for patients.
The vision is to offer excellent kidney care without the months-long delays that are common in traditional settings. Patients can expect thorough evaluations, clear explanations, and personalized treatment plans.
With convenient self-scheduling options, care is designed to be accessible, efficient, and patient-focused. Based in Sherwood, Oregon, we’re happy to care for patients throughout the state. The clinic is conveniently located just off 99W, and welcomes patients from Newberg, Tualatin, Tigard, Wilsonville, McMinnville, Woodburn, and nearby areas.
We offer both in‑person visits and, when safe and appropriate for your condition, telehealth appointments to make kidney care accessible wherever you are.

Professional Background
Hi, I’m Dr. Marilia Campos. I’m a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and Nephrologist, and I truly care about helping people understand and manage their kidney health.
Kidney disease can feel overwhelming, so I take time to explain things clearly, answer questions, and make sure my patients feel supported every step of the way. Quick access to care is important to me, and I work hard to make sure patients don’t have to wait long to be seen.
I’m originally from Costa Rica, where I completed medical school before moving to Minneapolis for my Internal Medicine residency. Since 2020, I’ve been proud to call the Pacific Northwest home, where I completed my Nephrology fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). I speak both English and Spanish, and I love being able to care for patients in both languages.
Personal Background
Outside of work, life is joyfully busy with my toddler, who keeps me constantly on my toes. I used to spend my free time rock climbing and mountain biking—these days, most of my adventures involve playgrounds and chasing a very fast little one (though I hope to get back to the trails someday!).
